Our House!

We finally found a house! Beau and I were so excited to move to St. George...No Snow! I miss Cedar, but now I am really loving St. George! Much better SHOPPING, a great NEIGHBORHOOD, and I can wear my FLIP FLOPS!

We took about a week and painted and did some TLC on the house. It's been a slow process (I'm still painting baseboards, blah!) but it's worth it :)

Temple Square - Christmas '10

When the whole family was in SLC for my grandpa's funeral we took a night and went out on the town! We started the night at Texas Roadhouse YUMMY! then headed to temple square. I was able to get a few pictures of the family :)

It was a blast to get my grandma to come and join in on our "Snaggle-Tooth" tradition after the temple!

We have been super busy ever since we got home from Alaska. We got home the end of September and have been out of town every weekend since! (SLC, Provo, Mesquite, Cali, Wyoming...I could go on) And it doesn't look like it's going to slow down. We did, however, manage to take a few trips for us and have some fun!

The end of October we went to visit Ryan and Mindy in LA. We went to Six Flags one day and then to a Charger's game in San Diego. On our way home we ate lunch at Habit Burger with Chad, Tami and the girls. Kailey had plenty to tell me about trick-or-treating for Halloween. Chad said Maddie followed the other kids around holding her bucket out...she knew exactly what she was doing and how to get all the candy!

Last night we were lucky to get some Jazz tickets from Craig. They were 2nd row tickets with a VIP pass which included dinner! It made Chris pretty jealous because he's a big Jazz fan. My parents came with us and it was a really good game against OK City!

So my mom has gotten me into Couponing...at first I thought it was pretty lame, and after the first experience I thought I would never do it again! Now that I've done it for a few weeks I am getting the hang of it and it has taken over my life...it's actually pretty fun!

My mom and I go to Walgreen's every Monday morning at 8. That way I can do my couponing with the least amount of people in the store. This last Monday we stopped by Staples then Smith's to get great deals! This is what I bought...

APX Backend Party

Nitro Circus came and performed at the APX Backend Party!

My camera couldn't get any good pictures when it got dark (I still don't know how to use it) so I only got a couple of pictures.

This was the track they were building all week. They put it up in the parking lot in front of the APX Building in Provo.

Travis Pastrona and the other guys in the crew all skydived in. It was cool cuz they jumped out of the plane and came shooting straight down and then ejected their shutes and came landing in the track. Travis actually ran into a dirt jump. haha

Beau was holding Jeter (Craig and Julie Andersen's) when they came landing in and he was so cute just staring up at the sky. He thought it was way cool!

This was also our FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Wahoo! What a torrific year Beau and I had...well maybe you should ask Beau if he thinks different haha But after the party we went and stayed at Hines Mason, a bed and breakfast in downtown Provo. We had alot of fun and would recommend staying there!

Wildlife Tour - Seward, AK

We were lucky to be able to go on a Wildlife Tour! Beau wanted to take his guys for an incentive :) So there was a big group of 15 that went...and I'm mad I didn't take a picture of people on the boat, mostly the wild.

All my pictures of the Bald Eagles were blurry...it was hard to take a picture really far away and while the boat was rocking. We were even lucky to see an Eagle's nest!

It was a beautiful ride, there is still a lot of snow so it was pretty cold.

I was really looking forward to seeing this little guy! We saw quite a few but they wouldn't let us get close, they would just fly away....Puffins! It's the one little bird off to the left by itself.

There are tons of birds! You can see little white specks in the next picture. I can't remember what they're called, but they're about the size of a pigeon but all white.

It was tons of fun, but it wore us out! We weren't excited about the 2 hour drive home afterwards, and Kelli got reallyl sick on the trip :(

California Trip - Ryan's Surprise Birthday!

So for a month Mindy was planning a surprise birthday for her husband Ryan. 5 of us (Bucky, Tyler, Carlie, Beau and I) were planning on going to LA and visiting and of course go to a baseball game! When we showed up we were at Ryan's front door pounding on it until he answered and totally surprised him! I wish I would have gotten a picture of it because it was HILARIOUS!

HOLY COW! I BLOGGED!!! :) Drive to Alaska

So I am finally blogging again! Now that I am not in school I have more time. I have posted some pictures from the drive out...I didn't think about it but I didn't get any of the people that we went with, just scenery and animals haha

So let me tell you about our experience...
Day 1: Beau, Chris, Meagan and I left Saturday morning, stopped in Provo for a while at the APX building then made the last of the drive to Shelby, MT.
Day 2: We woke up early the next morning and drove to the boarder. The boarder crossing was a nightmare! We were their really early so we could drive really far that day. We had to wait there for 2 hours because the notes we took were screwed up and they said they were invalid and uncredible. So we had to call from a payphone because there is no cell service...call Craig in Florida, have him call someone in Provo (because for some INSANE reason the phone wouldn't call 801 numbers) then wait for a while and call back, etc, etc. But we needed someone to go over to the APX building (it's Sunday mind you) and get all our contracts we signed and fax them to the boarder. SO...two hours later we got them and finally was able to go on. Driving in Canada was confusing because the gas is in Liters. The cheapest gas we were able to get was in Calgary and it was $0.98/Liter, other than that it was like $1.15/Liter avg. Our next stop was in Dawson Creek, BC. We met up with Jimmy (Meagan's husband) there and found a hotel.
Day 3: We went on to drive to Whitehorse, YT and stay the night. The roads on this day were pretty bad though. We never saw one cop the whole drive so we were driving about 25 km/hr over the speed limit (80mph) and the roads, out of nowhere, were way damaged and had huge pot holes in them. It was weird to be pulling into our next city because not only did we lose an hour each day but the sun was still up till the time we fell asleep and it was already up when we got going again.
Day 4: We finally got back to US soil and couldn't wait! We thought the roads were bad from Dawson Creek -> Whitehorse....they were WAY worse from Whitehorse to the boarder! And as were showing the guys at the boarder our papers you could see people working on the roads on the other side! haha Our last little bit of drive in Canada might have had terrible roads but it was by far the most beautiful scenery! Huge mountains, frozen lakes...it was just green and white! Needless to say, we finally made it! Anchorage is kinda dumpy right now, but I can't wait for it to be green and pretty!

Here is the map I used when we were in the Yukon Territory...so this is about 1/3 of our drive! The mileage from Cedar was 3,400 miles! We went straight up I-15 to Calgary and Edmonton, then over on the Alaska Highway to Dawson Creek, Whitehorse, then to Alaska.

There were all kinds of animals crossing the roads. It was really dangerous at night, not only because of the animals (which are HUGE) but I think all their snow washes off their painted lines because SO many roads are missing lines and Anchorage's roads are like that now. It's weird having a 4 lane highway with no lines...I'm surprised their aren't accidents!

So the drive was so boring and ugly (you know what So. Idaho looks like...no mountains and no trees or anything) but once we got on the Alaska Highway after Edmonton we got more trees and then we came to mountains and out of nowhere there was this huge valley with this little city in the bottom. It was really pretty but my picture doesn't do it justice.

Then we finally saw it! ALASKA! We were so excited to be back on USA soil! There were many reasons why everyone hated Canada, but the reason I did was because they didn't have any FOUNTAIN soda! And when we crossed the boarder there was a gas station with a fountain! Thank you America!

Honeymoon!

We took a Mexican Riviera cruise for the honeymoon! We had so much fun...despite the hurricane haha It did make the waters rough and it was cold everyday on the ship, but its not like we were planning on sun tanning anyway ;)

They had a big party for all the honeymooners! It was fun and we actually met 2 other couples that got married the same day as us from Utah...small world!

Our first stop was supposed to be Cabo...but since we had a Hurricane close we had to skip it and go to Mazatlan first. It was probably the dumpiest of the 3 stops but it was nice to have good weather!

Puerta Vallerta! We did some canopy tours!

They took us on an hour drive in the back of a truck. You all know the crazy, reckless driving Mexican's do...well that's how we were but helpless in the back! I was scared for my life on the drive back to the ship but we made it! :)

We just did some more shopping at this port. It was fun, but it was the hottest day of the trip! We didn't last long, but we had Danny and Melanie tag along. (They were one of the other couples from Utah on their honeymoon)

We went and saw a few Smithsonians. They were actually very cool! This was the coolest building, but there was nothing but a cafe inside. haha

Beau and I went on a little road trip on Sunday. We thought since we didn't have a lot of time we'd just do a bus tour. It was actually really fun! We didn't get off the tour much because we learned the hard way that if you get off, the museums were extra money (like $15/person) and we didn't have much time to wait around for the next bus, because they came every hour!

*I couldn't decide what order to put the pictures so they're just everywhere :)

They had a lot of 'firsts' in Philadelphia.

This was the first hospital. The picture was hard to take because they didn't stop, so we did a drive by, but on the roof there is a big window, and when they did surgery that was their only light because electricity wasn't invented yet. So surgeries had to be between noon and two.

After Philly, we took off to see Gettysburg. It was only 30 mins out of our way so we had to stop.

We got to Gettysburg, it was a little late, but our intention was to go on a candlelight tour, we were too worn out from walking everywhere in Philly so we just got some pictures.

This was my first time to the Big Apple. There was five of us on the trip...me and Beau, Eddie, Jade and Ben...

We drove Saturday night and stayed in Jersey. Then woke up early on Sunday morning and drove to the Staten Island Ferry and rode it over to Manhatten, and took the subway out to Flushing for the Mets baseball game :)

When we rode the Ferry it took us right past the Statue of Liberty. Killed 2 birds with one stone! I figured it was small, but when I couldn't see it for most the ride over....um....haha

When we got to the game it was raining pretty good. We waited or 2 hours for the game to start. After it did the weather was perfect! Cloudy and humid but it was nice.

Since the game took longer than we had planned we only had time to go to Time Square. There were a ton of people there. We walked around, took some pics then ate at ESPN Zone.

July 4th in Cincinnati!

I can't believe the 4th of July has already come and gone! The weeks/months go by so fast cuz it's work, work, work! But this was our first trip out here! Beau is a huge baseball fan as everyone knows so all our trips will be based around who's playing in what cities! haha

But it was really fun in Cincinnati! We started off the trip Saturday (4th) night after a half day of work. We made it about half way when Beau's tire blew!

Eddie was not excited...plus there was a two dead animals on the side of the road, yuck!

We went to the ball game on Sunday afternoon. The St. Louis Cardinals were playing the Cincinnati Reds.

So I got a new phone after 3 years! I actaully really liked my last one cuz through three years it never had any problems, and I've dropped that thing so many times!

So after some great deals, I got the new EnV Touch for $50! So it's well worth the purchase! And it takes some SWEET pictures for being a phone :)

Every Sunday the guys have softball games. This was our first weekend to go play so we went and checked out downtown for a couple of hours before.

I know you all thought this day would never come! I thought the same...but I found my 'one and only someone!' We're planning on getting married in Sept or
Oct, we'll keep you posted on that.

This summer is going to be a slow and boring one for me...I'm doing the office work and there isn't much to do with the job. I sit in the office (AKA my apartment) and answer calls and doing some paperwork. The paperwork is super easy too! Audrey is working in the office with me so it makes everything a millions times easier. And with Chris using my car for the summer, I'm pretty much stuck here. I can see lots of gym time and movies for me :)

Pittsburgh....The first couple of days we were here is was HOT! And of course our A/C didn't work HAHA But after Beau switched the breaker we were golden! It's a freezing 65 in here and it's raining today, so I'm bundled up.
It's a HUGE bonus were we live! I couldn't ask for a better place. The aparments are really nice and they sit up on a hill. Every store, restaurant, etc is only five mins away! So the only times we'll really be too far away are for Beau's softball games every Sunday night and for our trips out of town to baseball games.
Last Sunday we went to Beau's softball games which was in a city on the East side of Pitts! It was really fun to drive downtown and over to his game. He plays on the junkiest fields ever! This last week, almost every player tripped on their way out of the batting box, there are no dugouts, the outfield was on a slant with water at the bottom by the fence and I'm pretty sure there was a ghetto black guy watching one of the other teams that was smoking a joint...

Well I'll keep you all updated on our adventures on the East Side :) Sorry I don't have any pics of the ring or of Beau and I...We don't have a cord that connects from his camera to our computer. We'll get one soon though!

Well Everyone! After 2 months of unemployment I finally got a job! I started today and I'm doing my skin care!!! I'm way excited! Zija "drink life in"

I have been lucky enough to come across this great drink! I have been taking it for a month now and LOVE it! It's called Zija!

Zija is made from a tree called Moringa Oeifera. ("The Miracle Tree") They have been able to make it into two drinks. Original Zija and Zija XM3. I have been taking the XM3 and it gives you your vitamins, natural energy, and helps control your hunger! I noticed a difference after 4 days! I'm not nearly has hungry and I have energy throughout the whole day! Normally I would drink tea, energy drinks, or take energy pills to get me through the day. Now I just take 2 ounces for XM3 every morning and have no need to take anything else! It's awesome!

Well....the job at the foot place fell through, but don't worry I still moved back to Cedar! SLC just wasn't working for me :)

So I am officially unemployed! I am looking to start up my skin care business, but it'll be rough! I'm going to look around at a couple salons/spas and see which I like best!

So last week I got a text from Nick Whittier asking if I wanted to go to Cali on Saturday...OF COURSE I WANTED TO GO, SO I DROVE TO CEDAR FRIDAY NIGHT AND WE TOOK OFF SATURDAY MORNING! it was the fastest trip ever! but we had so much FUN!!! fish *tyrell* drove, and ben urie, brian mitchell, nick whittier and i tagged along. it was kinda weird being the only girl...NICK AND FISH WENT TO A DODGERS GAME, WHILE VERN, BEN AND I WENT LONG BOARDIN ON THE BEACH! SO i POSTED PiCS SO YOU COULD SEE MY FiRST ATTEMPT AT LONG BOARDING. We came back Sunday afternoon and I had to drive to SLC! Yes, it was a very long trip but it was WELL worth it!

I was talking to Andrea (Scott’s wife) and she told me I was lame cuz I haven’t posted anything since August. So here is an update on my super exciting life HA HA

I have the travel bug super bad! I wish I could just pack up my stuff and move somewhere and just live there for a year then move again….basically live all over the US backpacking! Why not? I could do it in Europe! I am young and single so it’s a must do. The thing that is holding me back, which is kind of a big deal, MONEY! So if anyone wants to donate to the ‘Jamie’s Adventuresome Life Foundation’ I will take checks, Visa and Mastercard! I’m kidding. I have applied for many jobs so hopefully I’ll get one and that will start my adventure! And if anyone wants to join, come with!

Sandpoint, Idaho - Lake Pend Oreille

Jubel and I went to Idaho for the 4th of July to visit his family! We had alot of fun! We did some fishing the first day and caught 7 fish in a 2 hour period! I caught the first fish...this one was the smallest catch of the day...

Jubel and his mom caught the two biggest ones at the same time! They were about 10-11 pounds each!

After we spent a couple days visiting his mom we drove over to Washington and visited his dad for a day. He lives on lots of acres and owns horses...lets just say I didn't enjoy being durty and sweaty the whole time...

The 4th of July was fun! We watched the fireworks from the boat, over the lake! Jubel's friend Daniel came and hung out with us. We attempted to sleep on the boat that night but when the storm rolled it and rocked the boat too hard I got motion sickness and threw up a few times in the lake. It wasn't any fun... Despite being sick on Saturday I had to get out of the house on my last day in Idaho...we went up to Schweitzer Mountain. Its the ski resort up there that overlooks Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille. It was beautiful! Teri, Jubel, Daniel and I went up and had lunch and looked around in the shops.

Memorial Day Weekend!

We did a lot of fun things this weekend! We went and stayed at a cabin up in Piute County by Marysvale with my family. We did lots of four wheeling, hiking, shooting, and cards! We had a whole cabin full....my oldest brother, his wife, and their daughter were up from Cali, then my little brother came, my parents, my aunt Lisa, her son Luke, my uncle Robert, and Jubel and I!

This picture, we're all sitting around the fire making hot dogs and smores. This was actually our last night at the cabin and we tried to do some fishing but the weather wasn't good, so our night ended short.

We went out shooting my dads guns....Chris, Jubel and I went running along the mountain tops to get some rabbits while Robert and dad would tell us where they were running to. I wasn't fast enough, but Jubel and Chris got some.

It rained a little bit on us but up in the mountains when we went four wheeling there was still snow so the roads were muddy. Chris got it the worst because he's the crazy one that went through it all so I had to take a pic!

This waterfall was really pretty...it wasn't a fun hike back out of there!

Post-Graduation

So now I've been done with school for almost two weeks and I love every minute! I joined the gym with Jubel. I do the kickboxing class while he fights, but I love it! It's a really good workout and it’s a small, personable gym so I will make new friends. :) I'm still trying to do a vacation but it's not looking too promising. Sarah and I want to do a road trip to Cali...so maybe we'll be doing that, but we also talked about a Kentucky trip! We just have to wait till school is out cuz Sarah is a PE teacher.

PS: Sorry I don't have pics, I'll post some after the family Memorial Day gathering!

GRADUATION!

I officially graduate in 6 more school days! That will put me being done on Thursday April 24th. I'm so excited to finally be done, but I still have to take my State Boards...I'm hoping to start studying and take them the first part of May. Wish me luck!

This is my PMTS class, Hollie, Adrie, Jen, me and Montana. Hollie and Adrie have been with me since the beginning, and Jen was our Core teacher...and we just picked up "Hannah" Montana on the way! (It was dress up day, Hollie and Jen don't usually wear those outfits. haha)

Hello! I'm finally posting something new! Sorry I don't have a cute little family to post all my pics haha jk But I'm telling you that I graduate in 9 more school days and I'm pretty excited! After one whole year doing the same old boring routine I need a break, so I'll probably be taking a trip! Who knows to were, but I am!

Here is what is going on now though. I'm dating a super hot and sexy guy named Jubel! And I'm working for a plastic surgeon...nothing too exciting, but hopefully after school I'll start making money so I can go visit Megra in good old Kentucky! I've never been there, and I'm sure I could tell Quetta to come with...And, my lease ends the first of May so I'm really excited to see where I end up. Of course I want to move, I can't stay in a city longer than a year haha I'm thinking just back down to St. George, but we shall see what happens with Jubel :)
